Album di notturna e malinconica bellezza questo Il Est D’étranges Soirs… dei francesi Soupir (Coeur Doré alla batteria, voce, synth, Malnuit alla chitarra, voce, basso e J.A.K.E alla voce nella traccia n.4)….Bello ma anche non semplice da seguire (e non mollate perché ne varrà la pena). Dalle atmosfere acustiche folk-gothic della bellissima titletrack al melodic-black metal più “grezzo” (anche nel suono) di Il Est De Mornes Jours (entrambe con testi del poeta francese Albert Samain) ed ancora Sous Cette Lune De Velours (qui a risplendere di luce propria sarà la voce di J.A.K.E semplicemente da brivido), la strumentale e cupissima Au Coeur De La Forét fino alla “violenza” oscura di Feuille De Vent a ricordarci che alla fin fine fra umane bellezze e miserie quotidiane non siamo proprio nulla….è solo un lento ed ineluttabile scorrere verso un oblio. Da Roots! è tutto e come sempre buon ascolto (qui).

Album of nocturnal and melancholy beauty this Il Est D’étranges Soirs… by the French Soupir (Coeur Doré on drums, vocals, synth, Malnuit on guitar, vocals, bass and J.A.K.E on vocals on track n.4)….Beautiful but also not easy to follow (and don’t give up because it will be worth it). From the folk-gothic acoustic atmospheres of the beautiful titletrack to the more “raw” melodic-black metal (also in sound) of Il Est De Mornes Jours (both with lyrics by the French poet Albert Samain) and again Sous Cette Lune De Velours (here to shine of its own light will be the voice of J.A.K.E simply thrilling), the instrumental and very dark Au Coeur De La Forét up to the dark “violence” of Feuille De Vent to remind us that in the end between human beauties and daily miseries we are nothing at all...it’s just a slow and inescapable flow towards oblivion. From Roots! that’s all and as always good listening (here).
