Abbiamo conosciuto gli Intige Taluure tramite la loro bellissima Saskatoon che potrete ascoltare all’interno dell’album/raccolta ZZAJ – Jazz From The 23rd Century (ne abbiamo parlato qui non molto tempo fa) e punto, la “cosa” era finita lì, nel senso che il tempo è quello che è (per noi e da dedicare alla musica)….Poi un “invito” del tutto inaspettato ad ascoltare (nel caso ci andasse, nel caso avessimo del tempo da dedicargli) qualcosa della loro discografia (il loro primo lavoro risale al 2012 quando ancora si facevano chiamare Phlitman & Kang)….Ed eccoci qui, senza avere la presunzione di spiegarvi questo “qualcosa” (a proposito nella lingua scandinava Intige Taluure vuol dire proprio “qualcosa”….forse, se abbiamo capito bene) ma solo di portarvi a conoscenza di una band (Pausa….in teoria nascono e sono a tutti gli effetti un duo, Jean-Marie Mievis e Kim Duchateau entrambi di nazionalità belga…fine pausa) sicuramente “disfunzionale” ma con una classe e predisposizione innate….e la vera sorpresa è stata prorpio quella di non averci capito un cazzo. Dalla disco-trash “sbilenca” della Titletrack (un misto di funky, pop, new wave anni ’80) al post hardcore strumentale di Intige Taluure Theme con una sezione ritmica intenta a divorare qualsiasi cosa incontri sulla propria strada (ma stanno semplicemente “giocando” oppure fanno sul serio?), l’alt-folk di Come To My Mountain (se vi state chiedendo di chi sia questa voce leggera e fragile come il canto di un usignolo ve lo diciamo noi….è della bravissima Charlotte Nyssens). Ma non finisce qui…Stromboli, 5pm è qualcosa di totalmente “assurdo”, folle e probabilmente geniale (la voce femminile è di Miss Margot O e tanto di cappello)…”Scusa signorina, la sua urla è rossa come il sangue…Aiuto! Aiuto!” ed infine a rimescolare le carte in gioco Keep The Big Sadness At Bay altra folk-ballad dissonante e lisergica a cui presterà la voce Minami Yamaguchi (la somiglianza con quella di Charlotte Nyssens è impressionante)….E’ “strana” la musica di questi Intige Taluure….è “spiazzante”, è un teatro dell’inspiegabile, del non-sense, di un non-tempo….Culture-Pop? Avantgarde-Pop? Neo Nulla??? Boh!….però sono bravi. Da Roots! è tutto e come sempre buon ascolto (qui).

We got to know Intige Taluure through their beautiful Saskatoon which you can listen to on the album/collection ZZAJ – Jazz From The 23rd Century (we talked about it here not so long ago) and period, the “thing” was over there, in sense that time is what it is (for us and to be dedicated to music)….Then a completely unexpected “invitation” to listen (in case he went, in case we had some time to dedicate to him) something from their discography ( their first work dates back to 2012 when they still called themselves Phlitman & Kang)….And here we are, without having the presumption to explain this “something” to you (by the way, in the Scandinavian language Intige Taluure means really “something”….perhaps, if we have understood correctly) but only to bring you to the knowledge of a band (Pause….in theory they are born and are to all intents and purposes a duo, Jean-Marie Mievis and Kim Duchateau both of Belgian nationality…end of the break) definitely “dysfunctional” but with an innate class and predisposition….and the real surprise was that of not having understood shit. From the “lopsided” disco-trash of Titletrack (a mix of funky, pop, 80s new wave) to the instrumental post hardcore of Intige Taluure Theme with a rhythm section intent on devouring everything in its way (but they are simply “playing ” or are they serious?), the alt-folk of Come To My Mountain (if you’re wondering whose voice is light and fragile like the song of a nightingale, we’ll tell you….it’s by the talented Charlotte Nyssens )….But that’s not all…Stromboli, 5pm is something totally “absurd”, crazy and probably brilliant (the female voice is by Miss Margot O and hats off)…”Scusa signorina, la sua urla è rossa come il sangue…Aiuto! Aiuto! ” and finally to reshuffle the cards in the game Keep The Big Sadness At Bay another dissonant and lysergic folk-ballad to which Minami Yamaguchi will lend her voice (the resemblance to that of Charlotte Nyssens is striking)….The music is “strange” of these Intige Taluure….it’s unsettling, it is a theater of the inexplicable, of non-sense, of a non-time….Culture-Pop ? Avant-garde pop? Neo Nothing??? Boh! … but they are good. From Roots! that’s all and as always good listening (here).
